Job Description
As a Operations and Production Engineer, you'll play key roles in Integrated Work Teams (i.e. surface/subsurface, upstream/downstream, EP/Gas & Power) by providing knowledge of the systems' operational aspect to the teams. You'll create the early operational deliverables for the developing concepts, such as an Operations & Maintenance Philosophy. Creating the operating cost models for different types of development, you'll be expected to work independently and within multi-disciplinary teams. Over time may become an engineering and integrated team leader. You'll also play a key role in the training and mentoring of less experienced staff and in representing the Operation and Production engineering community worldwide. In addition to these responsibilities, we'll require you to perform the following tasks:
Interface effectively across other disciplines/businesses as a member of fully integrated STI/Customer technical teams (including subsurface, wells, project execution staff)
Ensure all work is properly Quality Controlled by the appropriate technical authorities, the findings are documented and action items formally closed-out
Participate in the virtual knowledge sharing network and take a proactive approach to knowledge sharing and engagement with colleagues in operating units.
Excellent communications with the operational groups, partners and other stakeholders and with other technical disciplines within Shell's technical community are of key importance. This includes representing technical work to Shell customers and Joint Venture partners. This position provides many opportunities for personal development, both in technical depth and in cross-discipline activity management.

Desired Candidate Profile
With a minimum of a BSc or its equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline, we'd prefer you to be a Chartered Engineer or its national equivalent. With extensive EP experience, ideally obtained in a variety of roles including engineering, operations and maintenance, you'll also be able to demonstrate experience in operations and production of EP facilities. You'll have broad exposure to all aspects of typical production engineering, including unit operations onshore and offshore pipelines and terminals, from design to commissioning and start-up. We'll also be looking for demonstrable knowledge of reservoir engineering, process engineering, well engineering and complimentary surface disciplines, such as mechanical, process control and electrical. In addition, you'll also have excellent team working and interpersonal skills. A permit to work in India is essential for this position.
